Women's March on Montpelier

I was referred by my Web Design Instructor to volunteer time as part of the Web Development team to launch, update and maintain a new site for a sister march in Vermont as part of the Women’s March on Washington. This was a fast paced 30-day project that taught me how to effectively collaborate online in a team environment and to hone in on these skills.

Task and project responsibilities:

• Working on site updates and adding content in a staging environment and pushing approved changes to production site.
• On page SEO and keyword analysis to optimize page content, images titles and meta descriptions for good SEO for the site to come up on top organic search pages.
• Social integration that provides the correct title, description, and image for Facebook using the OpenGraph meta data.
• Incorporated YouTube videos within the site as the Video Production Team completed editing video coverage of the event.
